Price List Items

When faced with the task of creating large numbers of price list items, you may be tempted to use the Import Data Wizard to import and therefore create price list item entries. My advice is don't do this for two reasons:

  1. If a unit is used in more than one unit group, the import wizard will throw duplicate cannot be resolved errors.

  2. More importantly, the import process leaves the Unit Group field unpopulated with a value of null making the price list item unusable on Quote, Orders and Invoices. Because the Unit Group field is not shown in the Price List Item form you cannot set it after an import.

So, either create price list items manually or use a third-party tool. Do not import them.
