What's new in CRM 2013 SP1, Spring 14

The updates to CRM released in May 2014 (known as the "Leo" release) brings many new features.


Here is a list (not necessarily exhaustive):

  • Enhancements to Service Management with many new entities

  • Can merge cases

  • Hierarchical linking of cases in case forms

  • Status transitions for Case and custom entities

  • Private Queues

  • New calendar types for service

  • OR clauses in Workflow conditions

  • Export a solution for version 6.0 (CRM 2013 no SP) or 6.1 (CRM 2013 SP1) when exporting a solution; use this to target the appropriate version

  • Number of items in the command bar increased from 5 to 7

  • Icons shown in case views where Case Origin field is visible http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn660975.aspx

  • Duplicate detection when working with records

  • Server Side Synchronization with Exchange Online

  • Server-based (server-to-server authentication) SharePoint integration with CRM Online only

  • Enterprise licensing plan for CRM Online (includes Microsoft Social Listening, Unified Service Desk and Microsoft Dynamics Marketing)

  • Package Deployer tool to bundle multiple solutions and configuration data

  • CRM for Tablets now supports Android (4.2 and 4.3)
